Nick Brown in a jumping competition

About LMEC

The stables were first established in 1981 and came under new management in 2007 when it became an equestrian centre, which caters for all standards of riding lessons, trekking and specialised disciplines. The centre is an ideal place to improve your existing riding skills and learn new ones. It also offers the breaking and schooling of horses. It resides in over 1,200 acres of the beautiful Lochore Meadows Country Park. The park has miles of scenic walks and vast choices of outdoor activities. Loch Ore covers 260 acres where you can fish or take part in many water sports. You can play golf and of course come horse riding.

Nick Brown

Nick used to be a professional show jumper. He has also owned a haulage and steel erecting company but has always been involved with horses.

He began with ponies when he was very young and competing by the time he was ten years old in Pony Club Games. He then progressed to show jumping.

He represented Scotland when he was 14 years old at the Dublin Indoor International Show in 1986 and was even on TV. He progressed through the 12.2s, 13.2s then 14.2s all at JA level and then moved up to horses.

He has jumped all over Britain and Europe at places such as Olympia, The Royal International, The Royal Highland etc on his horses called Appleby Flash and two years later on Power Surge when he was 6th in the British points.

After this he began training and schooling young horses and has always privately taught competition riders and helped re-school problem horses.
